Overview
The AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate examination validates the participant’s technical expertise in designing and deploying scalable, highly available and fault-tolerant systems on the AWS platform. This half-day, intermediate-level workshop delves into the domains that are covered by the certification exam, while also mapping them to architecting on AWS as well as exploring specific areas for study. During the course, sample exam questions will be reviewed in every topic area, and participants will be guided on how to interpret the concepts being tested, enabling them to eliminate incorrect responses.

Prerequisites
Participants need to have at least one year hands-on experience designing and deploying scalable, highly available and fault-tolerant systems on the AWS platform. They need to have in-depth knowledge of at least one high level programming language. They also need to have attended the course Architecting on AWS, or have equivalent knowledge.

Certification
This course helps participants prepare for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate level examination. This exam validates a participant’s ability to effectively demonstrate knowledge of how to architect and deploy secure and robust applications on AWS technologies.
The examination comprises of multiple-choice, multiple-answer questions, and participants get 130 minutes to take the examination. The examination is available in English, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese.
An AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate level certification validates the certification holder’s ability to define solutions using architectural design principles based on customer requirements and provide implementation guidance based on best practices to the organization throughout the lifecycle of a project.
