Overview

The Business Value Analysis course explores the importance of good requirements development in an Agile environment, and equips the participants with critical thinking, analytical skills and the essential people skills needed to add value to every Agile project. The course focusses on practical aspects of the concepts and helps participants understand the changing role of a business analyst, the tools and techniques best suited to Agile projects, as well as the timing for performing key tasks and events. The course focusses on the roles and responsibilities of an Agile Business Analyst, commonly referred to as a Business Value Analyst (BVA), who guides their teams through iterative and rapid product development to maximize business value. The course focusses not only on the BVA’s skills and techniques, but also on the mindset shift for the BVA in an Agile environment. The course discusses the tools and techniques needed to gather the details of the requirement in an iterative fashion. Through this course, participants will be able to cultivate an appreciation for Value Management as an Agile discipline.

    The ICP-BVA certification focuses on value-driven software delivery, the accompanying mindset and key Agile practices designed to emphasize customer value. It also looks at creating organizational and team environments conducive to frequent and transparent collaboration between the business and development teams. There is no official ICAgile examination associated with this certification.
