Technologies in Today’s Scenario
Currently, the majority of the talking is all about the IT industry pacing up full-fledged with new technologies well, I am going to talk about the same, but in a much different aspect. So today this is just buzzing our minds out with all the new technologies coming up now and then, and confusing what to hold on with! In this era it’s like, every time you turn around, there is a new gadget, program, software, tool, application or accessory being touted as the “must have” new thing. While it is important for businesses to embrace technology in order to remain competitive, these seemingly unlimited amounts of technology resources are usually confusing!
Currently, the beasts of the land are none other than the technologies that are ruling the Cloud and the Big Data land and they have that impact which is going to stay for a really long time. It covers all the residents in terms of hardware, software, application and what all that you can name them. Now to survive in this land of beasts you need be the best hunter to strike down technology and get a firm hold of the same! The aim of expanding a business whether small-scale or the giants, they are on the same field aiming their best shot in the right direction.
Talking about the giant. The technology innovators Apache, Google, Facebook, IBM and the list is never-ending. These giants lay their marks by establishing a benchmark and then keep on making new better one. Now the part of the concern is the mass IT community. And the trickiest part is for hiring the right person for the position.
There are so many opportunities in terms of positions or projects in short “Jobs”. Where there is a bit shortage of resources that can justify with the projects. So finally it all ends up what technology to choose that gives the best opportunity and Pay! And over here then the mass gets divided approximately into two division
Freshers and the well edged experienced fresher’s it’s a fact that 1.5 million Engineers pass out from India every year! rest just sums up to billions. And the jobs are pretty less as compared to the ration of no. of engineers. Now the thing that makes a newbie stand out in the crowd are some qualities of leadership, determination and all that, but these qualities are not seen in the initial stage of their career these are the qualities that are praised once the person gets on-board.

What if I have no prior Experience of those technologies?
So what actually will help you stand out in the crowd and grab the best opportunity and position? Well, the answer is only one – “exposure to the current technologies“. You are already good at your fundamentals but though don’t have enough hands-on experience for the same. So now can be the time to jump into the pool of new technologies that are just taking pace into the market so it is going to be a simultaneous growth for both the technology and the for the individual’s career.
But still there arises a question – Being a fresher will I get an opportunity to work in this field? “What if I have no prior Experience of that technology”. Which company will hire me! This experience is in terms of projects worked on and the overall exposure to the real world projects. So as a fact, the priority is given to the experienced rather than the newbie’s, but today the face is on its verge of changing.
Recently I was having a conversation with one of my friends currently in IBM as a Manager handling the offsite projects for the USA- he had an entirely different point of view. He specifically said that “I would rather higher hire those fresh minds passionate to work on these new technologies rather than spending more on the experienced!” the new energy in the IT market loaded with the polish of the current trend technology can work its best and can be molded in the best possible way to have the best output.
All the energy, enthusiasm, determination, if used in the right direction provides a great result! Just a small advice to the newbie’s get a hold on any of the new trend technology be it cloud computing, Application development, Big Data and its technologies or even the Analytics or security part. This acts as a weapon to get into any MNC today. That’s all that they need!
And for the experienced, to be really honest, having an expertise in one domain or a technology is definitely a plus point in all aspects, but getting exposure to the new technologies will help to hold that position in a firm way, proving your versatility to give the best performance even on the recent technologies.
I used the word “Technology” several times till now and I meant technologies like Big Data, Hadoop, Spark, Cloud Computing, Security, SEO, Business Analytics, Application Development- iOS, Android, Windows, IoT, Cognitive Computing, Neural languages etc, get in touch with www.cognixia.com to learn more.
Concluding: Just upgrade yourself no matter you are a fresher or a newbie. This is definitely going to help in many ways! Good, bad or indifferent, if you are not investing in new technology, you are going to be left behind. – Philip Green.
